Natalie Portman starred in Besson's Leon aka Professional, at a very young age. Since then she has acted with the best, Nicholson in Mars Attacks and Pacino and De Niro in Heat. She also played Anne Frank in the Broadway Play. She is currently starring in the mega smash hit, The Phantom Menace.

Leon is a hitman, and happy with his life. When a young women
comes home to find her family has been killed by a drug dealer, she
runs to him for help. When she discovers he is a hitman, she asks
him to teach her the skills to take her revenge.

As imminent conflict brews between the powerful Trade Federation
and the peaceful planet of Naboo, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and
his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi travel to Naboo to warn the
Queen of the galactic fallout which is to follow. Eventually, Naboo
is invaded forcing the Jedis to evacuate the planet with the Queen
and her court. They travel to the desert planet of Tatooine where
they meet a slave boy called Anakin Skywalker who is evidently
one with the Force. They enlist his help in fighting the war, while the
Jedis confront one of the Dark Jedis behind the invasion, Darth
Maul, while his master Darth Sidious continues to lead the invasion
as a "phantom" behind the scenes.

Tiring of small town life, restless mother, Sarandon, drags her reluctant teenage daughter, Portman, to a busy city life in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. The film tells the tale of the hardships they endure, the people they meet, the change of lifestyle they are forced to cope with and the relationships they form, until Portman has to leave for college.
