    MOVIES

She was renowned as a siren of the screen, after starring in the films Henry and June and Dangerous Liasons. She became a household name playing the drug-influenced wife in Pulp Fiction. Next came the comedy hit, The Truth About Cats and Dogs, as well as the scince fiction movie, Gattaca. In summer 1997, she starred in the poor fourth Batman movie, Batman & Robin, though her role as Poison Ivy was one of the few highlights. A year later, she starred in an even more dismal movie, The Avengers, which bombed big time at the box office. Since The Avengers, she has done some stagework and has given birth to her daughter.

Vincent is one of the last "natural" babies born into a sterile, genetically-enhanced world. Going underground, he assumes the identity of Jerome, crippled in an accident, and achieves prominence in the Gattaca Corporation, where he is selected for his lifelong desire: a manned mission to Titan. When the mission director is killed and he carelessly loses an eyelash at the scene, Vincent must avoid arousing suspicion, while passing the tests, evading the police, and not knowing whom he can trust as the police start to close in, with extra searches, and new gene tests.

Mr. Freeze plans on taking Gotham City hostage by freezing the town into a permanent winter. In the meantime, a new seductive villainous, Poison Ivy, has appeared to cause a rift in the partnership of Batman & Robin. While all this is happening, faithful butler Alfred is dying. Mr. Freeze holds the key to save his life. Batman & Robin & Batgirl save the day.

British Ministry agent John Steed (Ralph Fiennes), under direction from "Mother", investigates a diabolical plot by arch-villain Sir August de Wynter (Sean Connery) to rule the world with his weather control machine. Steed investigates the beautiful Doctor Mrs. Emma Peel (Uma Thurman), the only suspect, but simultaneously falls for her and joins forces with her to combat Sir August.
